Guest Speaker

Catherine Willis-O’Connor, Artist

Details

Artist Catherine Willis-O’Connor began contemplating how the arrival of the Ottawa’s LRT would soon impact neighbourhood culture, and so she set out to capture the memories of the businesses, houses, parks and streetscapes that have come to define our city’s ambiance.

Catherine has always felt a connection with history. She is the grand-daughter of WWI flying ace Billy Bishop, great-great-granddaugher of department store founder Timothy Eaton, and great-great-granddaugher of Daniel O’Connor, one of Bytown’s most prominent citizens.

Join Catherine as she animates Ottawa’s past by guiding us through her joyous paintings, each of which promises to unleash a treasure trove of memories.

This presentation will take place on Zoom. All are welcome. Zoom registration: tinyurl.com/HSO-9-Sep-2026
