Author Bryan D. Cook has created the first comprehensive biography of William Cameron Edwards (1844–1921), a successful lumber baron, stockbreeder, businessman and politician. The son of Scottish immigrants to the Ottawa Valley township of Clarence, Edwards left as much of a mark on the industrial development of the Ottawa region as any of the better known lumber barons.
Part of the Isabel B. Ward bequest series. The author subsequently had a second printing done due to a surge of interest in Rockland. ISBN 978-1-998054-11-4. October 2024.
