Lett's father was one of the first settlers in the Ottawa Valley. Lett was editor of the Ottawa Advocate and City Clerk for 36 years. His poems and descriptions of early Ottawa are essential reading for local historians. Written by W.P. Lett with introduction by be Edwin Welch.
